ഇന്ത്യൻ സംസ്കാരത്തിന്റെ വൈവിധ്യവും ബഹുസ്വരതയും ഉയർത്തിക്കാട്ടി സംസ്ഥാന സാംസ്കാരികവകുപ്പിന്റെ പിന്തുണയോടെ വിവിധ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളും സംഘടനകളും ചേർന്ന് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ‘ഇന്ത്യൻ കൾച്ചറൽ കോൺഗ്രസ്’ 20 മുതൽ 22 വരെ കൊച്ചിയിൽ നടക്കും. സംസ്കാരം, സംവാദം, സാഹോദര്യം, സമത്വം, സമാധാനം എന്നീ സന്ദേശങ്ങളോടെയാണ് കോൺഗ്രസ് സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. 20-ന് രാവിലെ ദർബാർ ഹാളിൽ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയൻ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യും.
ഇന്ത്യൻ കൾച്ചറൽ കോൺഗ്രസിന്റെ ലോഗോ ഡോ. എം ലീലാവതി പ്രകാശിപ്പിച്ചു. മതം, വർണം, വംശം തുടങ്ങിയ സങ്കുചിത താൽപ്പര്യങ്ങൾക്ക് അതീതമായി ഒരു സാംസ്കാരിക കൂട്ടായ്മ രാജ്യത്തിന് ആവശ്യമാണെന്നും സമസ്ത ജീവജാലങ്ങളെയും ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്ന സംസ്കാരത്തെ തുരങ്കംവയ്ക്കുന്ന പ്രവണതകൾക്കെതിരെയുള്ള മുന്നേറ്റമാണിതെന്നും ഡോ. എം ലീലാവതി പറഞ്ഞു. കവി സച്ചിദാനന്ദൻ സ്വാഗതസംഘം ഓഫീസ് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. ആദ്യകാല നാടകപ്രവർത്തക നിലമ്പൂർ ആയിഷ മുഖ്യാതിഥിയായി. ഡോ. ദിവ്യ എസ് അയ്യർ, ഡോ. സെബാസ്റ്റ്യൻ പോൾ, മുരളി ചീരോത്ത്, എബ്രഹാം മാത്യു, ഡോ. പ്രമോദ് പയ്യന്നൂർ, സരയു മോഹൻ, കുക്കു പരമേശ്വരൻ, നീന കുറുപ്പ്, ടി ടി ശിവരാജ് എന്നിവർ പങ്കെടുത്തു.
എട്ട് വേദികളിലായി മൂന്ന് ദിനരാത്രങ്ങളിലാണ് പരിപാടികൾ അരങ്ങേറുക. സാഹിത്യം, നാടകം, സംഗീതം, ചലച്ചിത്ര മേഖലകളിലെ പ്രമുഖർ ഒത്തുചേരും. സംവാദങ്ങൾ, കലാവിഷ്കാരങ്ങൾ, ശിൽപ്പകലാ പ്രദർശനങ്ങൾ, ലോക ക്ലാസിക് കൃതികളുടെ വായനയും സംവാദവും, തെരുവ് അവതരണങ്ങൾ, ശിൽപ്പശാലകൾ, പ്രഭാഷണങ്ങൾ, ചലച്ചിത്രമേള, ഗോത്ര–-നാടൻ-ക്ലാസിക്കൽ കലാവതരണങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ കോൺഗ്രസിന്റെ ഭാഗമാകും. ട്രാൻസ്ജെ ൻഡേർഡ്, ഭിന്നശേഷി അവതരണങ്ങൾ, ന്യൂനപക്ഷ സാമൂഹ്യ കൂട്ടായ്മ എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് പ്രത്യേക പ്രാധാന്യം നൽകും.
